Job Summary

Perform a variety of food service duties, including preparing and serving meals and beverages across multiple service areas.
Ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards while supporting overall kitchen and service operations.

Qualifications

  • Set up food service areas, equipment, and utensils in accordance with daily operational needs and safety standards
  • Transport food and supplies safely between kitchen and service areas
  • Prepare and/or assist in preparing a variety of hot and cold food items, including meals, beverages, salads, and simple baked goods
  • Operate and maintain food service stations (hot/cold lines, beverage areas, dessert stations) at proper temperatures
  • Serve food while ensuring portion control, presentation quality, and compliance with service guidelines
  • Restock food, utensils, and supplies to maintain efficient service flow
  • Monitor food quality and equipment, addressing spoilage, defects, or safety concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness by washing equipment, sanitizing work areas, and disposing of waste properly
  • Knowledge of food service operations, including line setup and temperature requirements
  • Understanding of food preparation techniques, presentation, and quality standards
  • Experience with inventory control and supply ordering
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies
  • Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy items as required
  • Strong customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and adapt in a fast-paced environment

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
