Job Summary
This roleis responsible forsupportingthe design, implementation, and maintenance ofGitHub Enterprise used across HP. The role works at the intersection of software development, system architecture, and project management to ensure the successful development and deployment of software solutions that address a wide range of challenges and requirements. The roleoptimizessoftware systems for enhanced performance, scalability, and resource efficiency to deliveran optimalend-user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, configures, and tests and managesGithubEnterprise Cloud/Server environments, with a high degree ofexpertiseand independence.

  • Monitorsand tests application performance for potential bottlenecks,identifiespossible solutions, andworksto implement those fixes.

  • Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assignedportionof application;identifiesanddebugs, andcreatessolutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.

  • Creates andmaintainsdetailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user manuals.

  • Leads a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective andhigh qualitysolutions for assigned systemsportionorsubsystem.

  • Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and partnersregardingsoftware systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

  • Representsthe software systems engineering team for all phases of larger andmore-complexdevelopment projects.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

  • Support SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and other compliance tasks,includingaccessreviews, evidence collection for controls.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline orcommensuratework experience ordemonstratedcompetence.

  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.


Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)

  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)

The pay range for this role is$105,050to$161,800USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
