Provides pharmaceutical care, both distributive and clinical, to patients of the Medical Center includinginformation on safe and effective use of medications. Able to act in and oversee all functional areas ofthe department. Leads the day-to-day operations and personnel activities of the Pharmacy department.Actively re-directs both professional and support staff as needed to meet the daily demands andworkload of the department. Provides work activities, establishes work schedules and staffingrequirements for pharmacists and technicians. Provides PEP talks for technical staff and assists withhuman resource functions including training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
General Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field OF Study: Pharmacy
Licensures/Registration: Registered Pharmacist in Iowa. Pharmacist applicants obtaining their initial licensure must obtaintheir Iowa Pharmacist Registration within 6 months of hire. Those applicants registered inanother state must obtain their Iowa Pharmacist Registration within 6 months of hire.
Validdrivers license.
Experience: More than 1 year experience required
