As a CCFSR Clinical Technician, you will work with diverse populations acrossnumerousunits, departments and locations while learning from many of our best caregivers. In this role, you will cycle between Martin North, MartinSouthand Tradition Hospitals, offering individualized services and support as needed. This team will encourage you to pursue professional growth, advance the ProfessionalLadderand find your place within the Cleveland Clinic system.

A caregiver in this position worksvarying days/nights from6:00AM – 6:30PM or 6:00PM – 6:30AM. All caregiversare required tofloat to the unit of greatest need within Cleveland Clinic Martin Health – North,Southand Tradition.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide orassistwith patient care under the supervision of an RN. Patient care may include vital signs, weight,assistingpatients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoringdevicesand removing urinary Foley catheter.

• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical,mentaland emotional conditions to an RN.

• Assistwith keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.

• Complete an internal training program within two weeks of start date.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross (upon or within new hire period)

• Nursing students:Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificationrequiredprior to hire

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of recent, full-time patient care experience OR nursing student with at least one completed clinical rotation as part of an accredited Nursing School ProgramOR military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) ORadditionaleducation/training (e.g., mental health)
