Cleveland Clinic’sspecializedH60 Neuroscience Unitoverseespatients withvarious neurologicalconditions,Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, degenerative braindiseasesand spinal disorders.and provides caregivers with a lot of versatility and exposure.As an RN, you willbecome stroke-certified,receive comprehensiveeducationand gain skill versatility through exposure.You may be requested tofloat throughoutOrthopaedic,GeneralSurgeryandOncology unitsasneeded.This position also offers

A caregiver in this position worksday/night rotation/6 weeks on days/6 weekson nights/7:00am—7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am/3-12s/36hrs./FT.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.

  • Provide direct nursing care alongside asuccesscoach.

  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patientpreferenceand resource availability).

  • Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.

  • Seek supervision,consultationandassistancewhen unable to perform safely and independently.

  • Documentinpatients’ medical records.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professionalNursing(ADN or BSN)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross

  • New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include

  • Bachelor’sofScience inNursing (BSN)


Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.

  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.

  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $33.50

Maximum hourly: $53.60

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
