As a Dietary Aide, you help us support patient health by ensuring proper food handling and transportation. In this role, you can gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, all while making a difference in the lives of patients every day.

A caregiver in this position works days/evenings from 12:30PM – 9:00PM or 3:30PM – 9:00PM, with rotating weekend requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events.

• Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments.

• Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items.

• Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets.

• Follow department standards and procedures.

• Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Six months of experience in food service

• Hospitality experience

• Regularly required to stand,walk,use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.

• Ability to reach with hands and arms.

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus also required.
