This is a PRN position. A caregiver in this role will primarily work on-call for Saturday and Sunday.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide education and consultation for physicians,nursesand other caregivers.

• Offerspiritual care and counseling for patients, families and caregivers of all faith groups,agesand conditions.

• Foster spiritual resources for healing.

• Provide crisis and ongoing care.

• Work regular and on-call hours.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Completion of at least four units of Clinical Pastoral Education

• One year of ministry experience

• A bachelor’s degree, three years of ministry experience, satisfactory completion of one or two units of Clinical Pastoral Education and the expectation to get four CPEs within two years of hire maysubstitutethe education and/or experience requirements

• Certification as a board-certified Chaplain (www.bcci.professionalchaplains.org)or eligibility within two years or certification as an ACPE Supervisor of Clinical Pastoral Education

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Master’s degreeofdivinity or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to climb stairs, pull, push, and facilitate movement of the patient.
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
• In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
• In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
