Job Description

Goodreads is seeking a Marketing Manager to drive day-to-day marketing execution and program management. This role combines strong program management capabilities with marketing expertise to execute campaigns for Goodreads, manage email marketing programs, and drive user engagement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards for marketing copy and campaign execution.
Key job responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns for Goodreads
* Write and review marketing and other customer-facing copy
* Drive execution of key programs including tentpole/seasonal events, new member outreach, and feature/content engagement
* Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring accountability across stakeholders
* Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver marketing initiatives on schedule
* Identify and proactively resolve potential roadblocks in project execution
* Drive and support experimentation
* Track and report on site traffic and feature engagement metrics, and optimize marketing based on results

Goodreads is the world’s largest site for readers and book recommendations. Founded in 2007, Goodreads mission is to help people discover books they love and get more out of reading. Used by avid and casual readers alike, Goodreads members can discover new books by seeing what their friends are reading or through the Goodreads community; share ratings and recommendations; track what they have read, and list what they want to read. Goodreads is also a place where authors connect with readers. This role reports to the Head of Product Marketing and Editorial. Goodreads is a subsidiary of Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs
- Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including copywriting for digital marketing campaigns

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $98,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
